Re: ask ?
Hi ANtonis,
Welcome to the forum!
I would like to ask you to write in english, since we have an english speaking forum, with members who do not understand greek.
There are several things to keep in mind when you want to choose the right substrate (soil) for your trees.
It is a very long subject for discussion (one of the hottest topics in every forum in the world!) and cannot be analyzed by one post.......
You may follow somebody else's "recipe" at the beginning until you become experienced enough to do your own mixture.
I personally use around 80% inorganic material (it can be baked clay, pumice, crushed lava etc) and 20% organic material (it can be peat moss, bark).
If you want to read articles on the subject in Greek, you may go here: http://www.mybonsai.gr/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=56

Hello Antoni,
Its nice to see more Cypriots around!
I hope you can write in English!
As Stauros said you can find a lot of information to the Greek speaking forum
In Cyprus you can find the increments as follow
peat moss – From ellinas or any other “do it yourself” store, from Jumbo! etc
Course sand - From any construction materials store or from any river
Pumice – From Daliko ltd
Aggregate – From any construction materials store or from any river
baked clay - Not available in Cyprus
acadama or any other Japanese substrate - Not available in Cyprus
Can you tell us a few things about you?
When did you start with Bonsai etc?
