I use cat litter in my soil mix after reading about it on the internet.

I tested several brands available in Cyprus, some are really bad, the granules break down after soaking in water.
The one I found best is Thomas Cat Litter available in Carrfour in 16 litre bags.

if you look closely at the link you uploaded, towards the bottom of the page, it says something about Cyprus. Well, for 3-4 years now, we have been using the original product by Damolin, diatomaceous earth.

DO you mix it with other products?

Thanks, I didn't see that. But you have to import it.
I found the above quite satisfactory.
Sure I don't use it alone I mix with organic material and gravel.

you can also use it on it own depending of course on the tree species and your watering scheme.

i use it in all my trees.
with yamadori olive trees i use it pure.
with all other trees i add a small amount of slightly decomposted sphagnum peat moss.

great material for our climate

Christo to be quite honest i tried many brands includind THOMAS but i think none convinced me that they will work out...after a while they break up.off course if you put just a small propoortion in your soil i quess it would be ok...Take care though....
