My big Carob tree
this tree was collected last February. A couple of weeks later the leaves went yellow, dry and died. No new growth since then.
This probably because of the bad after collection care!
I hope, since carob trees are very hard/strong trees, for a growth comeback.
Wish me good luck!

this tree is too old to scratch the bark and see if is green or not.

Such a pity if it is dead Greg. An amazing tree. Its always the best ones that don't make it but I've got my fingers crossed here too.

So, how is your big carrob going, Greg?
Long time, no update.
I'd be interested to know it did make it!

Re: My big Carob tree
Greg, I do have some prebonsais and I keep on struggling with them
I have also "yamadories" from my farmland in Evia island, two oleas sylvestris and two phillyreas. Soon I will try to collect a cotinus which I am preparing (cutting big fat roots, pruning etc.)
The rest of my trees are nursery stock. I have had some bought shohins which I've killed... No new purchase, lesson learned. I stick to the nursery trees.
So, you can understand that I am taking my first steps...
There is no interest in my trees. However, I will upload some photos of them on Cyprus Bonsai and I will be grateful to have your comments.
Therefore, watch for my uploads
PS: I have to set up a signature.... I am Alexandra!

Dont worry Alexandra we are not experts too. Unfortunately is part of the learning curve to suffer loss of trees.
Iam sure that there will be some interest to see on your trees. Look farword to see the photos
