The new collection, autumn 2011 - Olive tree No1
Yesterday was a yamadori hunting day. I was lucky enough to get one piece. What else than an olive tree!!
Iam not sure if we are getting better or worst with the new collected material, but for sure I can say that we are more selectively.
The tree is relatively big with a huge base and an interesting trunk movement as you can see from the following photos. 70cm tall and potted in a training pot of 50cm diameter. Further to the main trunk there are 2-3 secondary trunks coming out all the way from the the huge base.
Iam very concerned if is better to reduce height and remove the secondary trunks.
What do you think ?
The last photo is a not so successful virtual. Any ideas?
The same thread / topic appears as well to the European native bonsai forum ,

Lovely piece !!!....and I thought you were going for a walk in nature
I would consider reducing the size later, once i have new branches.

that was our major argument Stavro, the size!!!!its quiite tall as it is but as you said it will all depend on the new growth......Surely we are getting better...thats the whole point anyway isnt it?
