olive yamadori 8
Last autumn (2010) this small tree was discarded by my dear friends Greg & Savvas, when they finally managed to dig out a nice big olive tree. It was sitting just next to the big olive tree that my friends lifted and when they finished packing their tree, i decided to take it home with me and plant it just in case it grows, since its rootball was too poor. The good thing with olives is that they can be treated almost like huge hardwood cuttings. I did not know if it would make it and i would not dare to scratch its flaky beautiful bark, so i waited patiently (!!!not my style but...). A few weeks ago, it sprouted and today, i decided to wire the 2 main branches and let them grow freely.
What do you think???

Another nice tree Stavros. Would like to see the big one that was next to it.
I would change the position of the wired branches Stavros. Your leader appears to be below the first branch?
